Joy Faith Stories (Page 2)
(as written down by Rosalie Joy-one of my aunts)

After they learned to pray for rain, one time they saw six tornadoes over the house. They prayed, and the tornadoes disappeared.

Another time, the hail was headed directly for Grandpa and Grandma’s land. They prayed, and the hail stopped at their property line.
________

Wayne, Grandpa, and Norman had been terracing for someone in western Kansas. Wayne and Grandpa had just put up the steel windmill tower at our place. Norman was the lead tractor. Rosalie’s sister and folks were visiting, and Kathy’s car was parked in the yard. Our car was sitting right behind it. When Norman drove into the yard, he misjudged the distance, and took down the windmill tower. The tower fell right between the two cars; missing both of them completely. We believe it was God’s protection that there was no property damage, and no one was hurt.
________

Grandpa had a heart murmur up to the time he was about 40 years old. His heart would just miss a beat frequently. Grandpa and Grandma watched Oral Roberts on TV, and were partners with him. One day, Oral had a word of knowledge about someone who had a heart problem. Oral told them to come over and put their hand on the TV as a point of contact. Grandpa came over and knelt down and put his hand on the TV and Oral prayed. His heart never missed another beat. In fact, when the rest of Grandpa’s body was shutting down, the nurse commented to Wayne and Verle about how strong his heart was.
